Thanks Guys

Thanks to all for sending messages of encouragement and congratulations re selling my framed mini's! It was quite a surprise to get such lovely notes. Is this your good deed, you Americans, at Thanksgiving:) Anyway, much appreciated.

More wonderful health news. Saw the Thoracic Surgeon today re some surgery for Oldest Boy to help his Myasthenia Gravis. They think it will do wonders, and were soooooo sorry to have to tell us that they could book in January at the earliest!!! This was heavenly to hear as we assumed that we would have to wait 6 months at least, especially since 2 weeks in December are usually write-offs for all but emergency stuff in the hospital. My broken record speaks again: THIS COSTS US NOTHING! Anyway, we are so hopeful. Many people may actually be considered cured after this surgery, so Boy is happy today.

OK, OK, You'll Live

So I've switched up my blog again!! I get soooooo bored! Yes, it's bright, but really people there are bigger problems in the world:) For instance, I'm sure I woke this morning with SARS, no swine flu for me!

Just finished my Christmas shows and SO happy I sold 3 of my framed pieces this week, Twisted Sisters, Water Baby and She's Come Undone:

Now, I've got to remake Twisted Sisters as I have to send everything to Robert Diamante in one week for photo's, but that's a good example of a "non-problem"!

My Love (Not the PM!!!)

I have had the MOST frustrating day, and wanted to start with another of my "frustration" graphics, but then I thought 'Why not show Little Boy's beautiful new school pic'. Now, for you Canadians, I call this my 'Stephen Harper' shot. Mr. Harper is our Prime Minister, in case you didn't know. Anyway, he has freakishly blue eyes just like Little Boy, and the same haircut! This made my day, hope it makes you smile.

Little Boy is 10 years younger than his youngest sibling, and makes us laugh regularly. I sure needed it today!

Who Didn't LOVE Idiot Mittens?

This one has been on my mind for a while. I ALWAYS lost my mittens, and was forced to wear the dreaded "Idiot Mittens". Now that I'm grown I understand the beauty of such a device? I would love to call this one The "I" Word or, my personal favourite, Who's The Idiot Now?...This would require some snowflakes coming down, but I'm sure Social Services would be on my doorstep for uttering such a BAD WORD:). Sometimes I curse this politically correct world we live in! I'm debating between Winter Baby or Let It Snow.

New Pro-Panels...and some extra:)

So here is my new Pro-Panel display sitting in my front room waiting for me to fiddle. I LOVE it! I've only got 1 light up there, but I have 4 (2/panel), just too lazy to put them up yet. The long thing hanging down on the left is a hanger I got from the company just to see what it looked like. I'll get all the lights up and some framed mini's up there then take another pic this weekend.

So, as I was snapping the panel photo, I realized I simply MUST snap a quicky of the ceiling in that room. I LOVE my ceiling fixture. I laid a rope out on the floor, and my contractor Reg (who really is an artist) bent the track to mimic it. The little spots hanging down light up art we have on the walls, while the chandeliery things provide beautiful, sparkly light. They also cast a beautiful sparkly shadow on the ceiling at night when we just have them dimmed low.

Running Windows Programs on Mac

Started out the day like this...........
Then after many hours it turned into this!!!!!!!!!

All because I spent the day figuring out how to install Windows (via Parallels) on my Mac in order to run Quickbooks and Jewelry Design Manager. Anyway, I'm usually quite good at figuring this stuff out, but this almost did me in. After many hours (and $500 for Quickbooks, Windows 7 and Parallels!!!) it is done. Yahoo...I now have everything I need on my new Mac. I LOVE my new MAC.

The people at the Mac store are surely laughing their asses off when I walk in....and are praising the Lord when I walk out. The whole buying experience was traumatic cause I just like to walk in, purchase, then walk out. Even waiting for the bill to print drives me nuts...remember, I can make tiny silver shoes, but I have NOOOO patience. Today when I went in to get some questions answered at the Genius Bar (awesome concept!!!!) the manager ended up coming over and personally serving me cause "I remember you from Saturday, and you look like you're a LITTLE stressed":) Anyway, after my visit I went immediately to the Moxie's Bar and had this!!!
Also, happy, happy day because my 2 new Pro-Panels were delivered. I'll try to post a photo tomorrow. I only got two cause I wanted to see what they were like, etc. I stressed over my colour choice...finally chose light grey...and I'm sooooo happy. I highly recommend them to anyone needing panels to display artwork. Just waiting now for the lighting to show up, then I'll be set for a few small shows I'm doing in the next few weeks.

Health care update. We've got the appointment with the Thoracic Surgeon, exactly 1 month after the referral was made. Yahoooooo!!!! Although, happiness tempered by the fact that High Risk Boy is refusing to get the swine flue vaccine.....government conspiracies, he'll end up "walking backwards" (don't ask), etc, etc., etc..
